Council on Postsecondary Education names Kentucky Virtual Library director
The Council on Postsecondary Education has announced the
selection of Enid Wohlstein as director of the Kentucky Virtual
Library. She replaces Ling-yuh (Miko) Pattie, the library’s
first director and one of its founders, who assumed new duties
as the chief information officer for the Kentucky Virtual University.
“We are delighted to welcome Enid to the position. She
brings a wealth of library experience, collaborative abilities
and strong information technology skills that will be extremely
beneficial as the director of our statewide library consortium,”
stated Daniel Rabuzzi, chief executive officer of the KYVU and
vice president of economic initiatives for the council.
Wohlstein, of Lexington, previously served as product manager
for Digital Freight, Inc., and as the information technology
manager for the James N. Gray Company, Inc.
Among her new responsibilities at the virtual library, Wohlstein
will provide visionary leadership for the virtual library and
libraries throughout the state, manage the day-to-day operations
and vendor contracts, and coordinate over 10 workgroups, in
addition to other duties.
Wohlstein earned a master’s of science degree in library
science from the University of Kentucky in 1994 and a bachelor’s
degree in English literature from University of Kentucky in
1993.
The Kentucky Virtual Library is a customer-oriented statewide
library consortium serving the Kentucky Virtual University,
the public and private postsecondary education institutions,
